Platania is an authentic village 40 km south-west the town center and 30 km from Rhodes airport. It is only 15 km from the Butterflies valley and the wineries, only 10 km from the seven Springs, Kolympia beach and many other crystal clear beaches all the way to Lindos Acropolis and Village.
It is located at the foot of Prophet Elias mountain for fantastic hiking among the pine trees, reaching the small church of Prophet Elias and enjoying a cup of Greek coffee from the two hotels in Tiroler style built 100 years ago, called the Deer and the Doe.

We can wander among Katerina’s 150 years old olive groves inherited from her mother’s dowry. You can live the experience of gathering olives or adopt olive trees and have them for yourselves. The healthy olive oil can be delivered to your house from us every year after the olive harvesting in Dec and January at a very low cost.

You will be hosted by Mrs Katerina enjoying the blessed quiet and the full view to the village and St George old church built in 1880. An afternoon meal in her porch of the two 150year –old houses of her mother and grandparents. Great view while eating and also optionally participating in the cooking of the food like suzukakia or moussaka or pastitsio or kleftiko or giouvetsi, stifado, tzatziki or aubergine or garlic dips, Greek salad, and finally the Greek viangra dessert which is yoghurt with honey and walnuts. Plenty of Rhodian wine and a fantastic Sunset.
